Overview

This course was developed in response to the perceived new threat to business security following '9/11'. Good practices can easily fall into disuse during periods of stability, and this course helps to avoid complacency among staff by reinforcing security routines as well as the emergency procedures to follow in case of an incident.

The course provides:

PART 1: GENERAL SECURITY

• Access controls: Id cards
• Managing visitors
• Deterrence
• Deterring theft of property
• Asset removal procedure

PART 2: EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

• Dealing with threats
• General incidents
• Suspicious deliveries

The course concludes with a short assessment to confirm understanding, the results of which are automatically saved to a database when used with the Audit+ Management System for further analysis.

Server and browser requirements

This training program runs over a typical company Intranet or hosted website with minimum specification and do not require plug-ins such as Macromedia Flash, Shockwave or Java.

Server:

• Microsoft IIS 5 or later
• Active Server Pages 3.0
• Microsoft® SQL Server 7/2000/2003 or Microsoft® Access (if training records will be saved to a database)

Browser:
